"I crouch down to grab some dirt and rub it between my palms.
I pause for a moment, `Will I make it out alive this time?`.
To my side is my trusted companion, eagerly awaiting my commands.
`What do you think Carrie? Shall we go for it?` I know the answer,
she has already told me without the need for words. We can sense
what the other is thinking. We are ready. Live or die.. here we go."
Wings of the Goddess arrived! Wednesday, 12th December 2007
Ok, it's been a while since I wrote a entry here now, and the simple reason behind this, is that I got the Wings of the Goddess (WotG) expansion, on the 5th of December. Wich got me busy with exploring and to unlock and start leveling my new sub job, Dancer. Well, and there has been a majority of events lately I have attended with Red Mage. We need more RDM's in our linkshell, hehe.
Early on last week, I decided that since getting myself a Hecatomb Cap +1 will take some time, I would go and get a "temporary" head piece for my Weapon Skill equipment. Then on the 5th, as soon as Wings of the Goddess arrived, I hastily started to explore once it was installed and updated. Firstly heading to the Carvernous Maw in Rolanberry Fields for a nice opening sequence. (Hopefully these two pictures won't spoil it for anyone.) I got transported to Batallia Downs (S), where I quickly discovered some new skin textures on tigers named Smilodon. They lost their color over time I guess. After visiting Eldieme Necropolis in the past, I ventured into Pashow Marshlands (S) where I found a new type of pet to spend some time with. These slugs by the name Lou Carcolh, were rich in numbers and I used a few to fight some new Tough rated dragonic looking monsters, called Peiste. Wich on a second note is rather nasty with their AoE Paralyze effect.. Then while I was questing to unlock my Dancer sub job, I had to travel to Jugner Forrest (S), where I found a new beetle family, the Biddybug. These will aggro at Lv.75 and comes both in flight and ground based versions. Order yours now, for free-ninety-nine! Later that evening we had Einherjar on the menu in Chroma, and cleared another chamber, providing access to the second Wing for a few people. The following day, our unlucky no drop streak with the Nyzul Isle Assault static ceased, and we finally got to see our first drop! Congratulations Vyvyan!
I also bumped into a little NM while passing through (purposely, under New Moon) the Konschtat Highlands. A fomor by the name of Bendigeit Vran, wich granted me a nice leveling Chakram for my Dancer. Then on Saturday, we did a total of around 8 Bomb Queen spawns with the linkshell for various members. Followed by two spawns of Jailer of Love the following day. Wich further more, resulted in 2 Torques and both a Novia and Novio Earring. Big congratulations to Sephris for the BOOM earring! Jailer of Love sure was generous this time, and Absolute Virtue decided to spawn after both kills as well, being satisfied with only killing Sizah on the first spawn! O_o) When doing Nyzul Isle afterwards, we got another drop, and my Ninja, Ranger and especially my future Dancer, are very happy about that. Thank you, very much! Wich brings me to the end of this blog entry.. My DNC is now Lv.50 and rising. And I am definately taking it all the way, as I find it interesting to play and may want to use it occationally for end-game related events. It's now been 7 days since I got WotG, with the first day maybe consisting of 2 hours to explore. Am I leveling too fast? Or too slow?
